SSD upgrade by myself will it disrupt the hybernate and spleep functions?

If it does, you can use the Terminal to set it again to your liking, but when I replaced my HDD with an SSD, I didn't see such behaviour.

So I will be able to change the SSD by myself and make everything work perfectly?
That's a very good news!

You have provided virtually no information:

What MB(P)?
What OS?
What SSD?

There are reports about sleep issues with the new Vertex 3 SSDs under evaluation I believe - probably beta firmware still.

MBP 13'' 2011
Snow leopard
PCZ vertex 2 or 3

The Vertex 2 performance is documented (I guess).

The Vertex 3 will be selling within the week I believe and I am holding off to read reviews as to the sleep / hibernate issue as well as any data stuttering that I've read just a bit about.

Short version - hold off for several weeks to a month or so to see what shakes out. You have the latest 13" so.....
