Dear collegues, I did the SSD upgrade on my Macbook pro 2011, but... the SLEEP mode does not work anymore. When I lift the screen the laptop does not restart, then I push the main switch and a message comes up saying that I have to restart the system... Very annoying.
Any advice? Thanks, Carlo

Can you show some pictures or videos of the behaviour?

Sleep problems because of incompatibility with an SSD are extremely rare, so I would bet on either another hardware issue or a software issue.

Can't hurt to do an SMC reset: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

There are no significative pictures to show. When I lower the screen, the laptop seems to go in SLEEP mode, but when I open it again no reaction... Then I have to switch it on to wake it up. And a sudden message appears (in several languages). It says me that I have to restart the system (so losing all the open data).
Thanks for your advice on doing SMC. I will...
Carlo
