My husband is old-school enough that he still prefers to check his email via Pine. The only reason I was able to convert him to macs at all was that OS X is really a unix variant, and he uses the command line extensively over the GUI.
We just moved, and right now the iPad is the only computer hooked up. He took it to check his work email yesterday, and said sadly, "There's no Terminal app!" I reminded him that that would pretty much require filesystem access (he generally pooh-poohs the Ipad over this, and I do agree there), and he reluctantly used his crappy webmail.
Is there any sort of app that would allow him to ssh in to work to use Pine? Mac-using unix geeks must have made a few iPad apps.
