SSH Connection Timeout Using Different Internet Location

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to use ssh to connect to a computer at my university. I'm able to do so while I'm actually at my university on their internet, but when I try to do it from home I get "port 22: operation timed out". I'm not really sure what to do – can anyone help me out? I won't be able to do any research over the summer if I can't connect :(
