SSH into Apple TV

Does anyone on a regular basis, use SSH to send media to an AppleTV over the internet? I was wondering if it’s feasible to send movies and shows to an apple tv setup at a friend’s house across the country, and have them appear in his apple tv movies section.

I don't but I see no reason why you couldn't do it. The only limitation would be bandwidth, a good fat pipe on both sides would be a necessity.

I use scp to transfer files and background the process all the time. I generally do this while I'm away from my place and want to transfer something to the ATV that I want to watch that night. Usually this is done from my phone
