Hi,
I would like to login via ssh onto a remote mac on the same network. Remote login is enabled on this mac and when I type ssh login@address.mac from my machine, I am prompted to enter the login password.
After doing so, I am prompted to enter the password again and after this I get another password prompt. After the third time "Permission denied, ... " starts to appear and after the sixth password prompt the connection closes always with "permission denied".
The password I entered is correct and belongs to my account on the remote mac - I do not understand why I was prompted 3 times to enter the password before receiving the Permission denied statement. I also don't understand why I can't remotely login even though I have a user account on that machine. Can someone explain what is going on?
Thanks.
