SSH where do I put the media files

I just SSH my Ipod touch and I am not sure where I can put the media files that I wanna put (pictures, movies and songs) where exactly do I put this files once I get inside the ipod touch.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S I don't like using Itunes so I would like to do this manually if possible if not please let me know .
