SSID special characters

I have noticed special characters displaying on my Mac but not on other devices making me think it is a corruption of the Mac OS. See the hearts in the enclosure.

Special characters can be used in an SSID. I just tired it by putting a special character in one of my SSID's and it showed up on the available networks on my Mac and my phone. I don't think there is anything wrong with your Mac as far as this is concerned.
