Has anyone heard of a way to hack the Solid State Logic Duende to allow the use of all 32 DSP chips.
If you have purchased the unit with the full 32chips inside, dont you think its a little f***** up that they charge £200 to allow you the privalage to use it.

dude, i got the same problem here. ive been trying to hack it myself., unsuccessfully. so i have finally purchased the 32 dsp extension, its an unique 32character long AES/RSA-like unlock key that you put only once, and it unlocks all the dsps inside the duende mini. I think its fine to purchase the 32dsp extension for that price, but actually the prices asked for that simple stereo bus compressor and as well for the X Comp, drumstrip and X Eq are way overrated .. I tried to bring it up with SSL regarding their actual market ethics ,because their new Duende PCIe card INCLUDES the stereo bus compressor and not our Duende Mini, they ask something like £200 for that tiny compressor bitch. Also, SSL is less generous than UAD (if you are any familiar with), so far NO PROMOTIONS, NO DISCOUNTS, NO VOUCHERS.. with SSL ****ers. this is what happens when you buy hardware from such SNOBBISH brands.. same like if you would have purchased a brand new Rolls Royce from a rolls royce dealer.. dont ever expect any deals or promotions

its the same as protools LE only allowing 32 mono tracks to be played back at a time ... unless you buy something extra ...

but yes, both cases suck
