Hi

In early 2019 I was very slowly using more my PowerPC machines (PowerBook G4, G4 Cube) and one of my goals was to be able of sync my Calendars, Contacts and Files(WebDAV) of NextCloud server on 10.5 Leopard.

The Calendar and Files was somewhat easy since Leopard supported the CalDAV and WebDAV over https without any issues (WebDAV trough Finder was kinda "slow", but tolerable).

The Contacts required more steps to achieve this using SOHO Organizer since only in 10.6 Snow Leopard Apple offered CardDAV integrated in the native Address Book, so SOHO Organizer was a bridge that synced in the system app.

In the last 90 days I have a little more time to finally use my iMac G5 and replicate my setup to use more frequently, but even with my older machines already configured and working, just no access in all protocols. I entered in contact with the NextCloud support to verify what was happening and after a few days and some testing they said that was a SSL minimum of the server that was required to connect, and the older 1.0 won't work anymore.

I tried Forklift and Transmit 2 on WebDAV but it won't connect. Since this kind of error looks "system-wide limitation" there's anyway to upgrade or force to use newer SSL? There's some screenshots to help illustrate the errors.

Thanks!

Really, I think Interweb should be the defacto(I say this word right?) web browser. Its by far faster and easier to use than even LWK. Kudos to Wicknix for a fine web browser. Who needs LWK when interweb does it better and faster ? I know of no website that can't load under this web browser. No SSL worries here, just works !

About all i can think of is using another machine as a proxy.
That's was I'm trying to avoid (to use a solution that relay of any "external dependencies") because when talking about any PPC notebook once it is away of his 'safe and functional infrastructure' it will break it's functionality. Sure it should work because I read the thread and had many positive feedbacks, but since I don't have any "more modern Mac's" (10.6 or newer) it won't suits my needs.

I know that I can do something similar using my Raspberry Pi4 that it's currently my NAS + PiHole and many more functions but i like the K.I.S.S. principle (Keep It Simple Stupid or Keep It Super Simple for the more polite version) I was searching for make a way to give more productivity and functionality to my time using 10.5 because in Linux I have zero issues and since more "modern software" it's updated by this community on OSX I think that updating the system certificates would be more simple. (if this is only a old certificate issue)

I tried to import the cacert.pem but didn't have any effect.

Thanks for your help anyway

Really, I think Interweb should be the defacto(I say this word right?) web browser.

Unfortunately the browser isn't the issue because the system isn't connecting to different services or protocols, and using the browser to do all sorts of tasks isn't my way of "using a computer" (otherwise I would use a Chromebook) but this community it's doing a great job of maintaining this machines for far long that would be expected.
