However, like a lot of the other ones like Comcast, COX, Frontier it says you can set them as your Provider but you still have to login to each App individually. But this seems promising. Maybe by the time 11 is released.

too bad it doesn't work with single sign on.
 
So I have DTVNow as my "TV" provider. Yet ever app I open requires my to use my computer/phone to go to a website and enter a code. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. It told you it does not work when you logged in. You could logout and login and read the message.
