Wondering if this is only happening for me —

On my 14" MBP M1Pro running Ventura 13.1, it's next to impossible to launch many core Apple applications including Messages, Calendar, and Weather. And in many apps, once they do launch, any call to a Location or Maps API seems to hang the application.

For example:
  • To open Messages, I have to force quit and try again at least 3-4 times. It bounces, stops, and reports itself as not responding.
  • If I can get Calendar to open at all, it hangs as soon as I try to add a location to a calendar event or open a calendar event with an associated location.
  • Safari will often hang any time it thinks I'm trying to search for a location. For example, if I start typing homedepot.com, it will often hang up as it attempts to find Home Depot stores near me.
  • Weather and Maps just straight up don't work. They bounce in the dock for a few minutes, then report as not responding.
I don't see this symptom on my Intel Macs running Ventura or on my iPhone. I've tried turning Location Services off and back on w/ no change to the behavior. I've seen this issue since 13.0 dropped.

Any tips? Suggestions? Poor saps in the same boat? Thanks! :)
