If I have ten files (numbered 1-10) in a folder and I open all of them at once, Mac OS will layer them with 1 at the bottom and 10 at the top (or front). Is there anyway to reverse that? So instead of 1...2...3, it opens 3...2...1?

Have you tried reversing the sort direction in the Finder window?
Honestly, I doubt it will make a difference, but it's easy and worth a shot.
Omigod! Thank you so much! Reversing the sort order works. Fifteen years of having to manually reorder files is over. Even Google A.I. said there's no way to do it. I'm forever in your debt, chown33.

***The_Auryn bows to chown33*** :D

I do appreciate these little details in macOS. We all like to focus on the rough edges, but there are still so many UI aspects that are so well thought out.
