Stacks and Sorting

OK, so I learned how to sort the files in grid view in my documents folder when I launch it from the Dock. However, when I navigate to a folder within the documents folder (still in the Dock), the files are not sorted as per my earlier criteria. Help!

Since I haven't received any replies, I thought I would try to explain myself better. What I'm talking about is the view sort order of files within folders within a folder in the dock (i.e. Documents>Pages Documents>paper#1, #2, etc). These files are not sorted as per the set criteria when navigating to them from the dock. Help!

I may be talking to myself here, but in case anyone is interested...

I think this is officially a bug. I have another computer still running Leopard and it will retain the "sort by" preference in nested folders. Snow Leopard seems to have removed this function.
