Just purchased a new black MacBook, running leopard 10.5.4. A bit frustrated with stacks, in that the contextual menu is not the same as my white MacBook running the same version of leopard. It does not allow me the option as viewing as a file, only as a fan or grid.

Screenshot attached.

Can someone please help?

Thanks,

V

It’s about destroying the status quo, because the status is not quo! The world is a mess, and I just need to rule it!

Right click the file and select Make Alias and then drag the Alias into the dock.

Tried that. Unfortunately, it only operates to open the folder in finder, not as a stack. I was hoping to regain the full function of the contextual menu so that I could display as folder and view content as list.

Screenshot of how it is supposed to work in 10.5.2-4 is attached.
