I set up a new user account and noticed all files not located within pre-set folders (pictures, music, etc.) from another user account (my account) were visible. I clicked my user account/home folder, pressed cmd I, changed permissions to the following...

Admin - Read & Write (previously read only)
my account - Read & Write
everyone - No Access (previously read only)
I deleted staff not knowing what it was; stupid...yes :D

Anyway, it worked in that my files are no longer visible to the other user account but I noticed immediately after that couldn't save changed preferences within applications anymore. My guess is because I deleted staff, when I click on + however (under permissions), there is no option to add staff back. I tried searching online and found this...https://discussions.apple.com/message/10617418?messageID=10617418#10617418?messageID=10617418

Towards the bottom it shows two commands, my question is simply what did I mess up, how can I fix it, will those terminal commands work and if so how do I properly write and enter the command into terminal? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
