Seeing the angled tiles for apps in Stage Manager is really interesting - Apple actually patented a depth 3D UI back in 2008:

Curious to hear thoughts - I've wondered why that transition never happened as processing power increased. It would make some sense to use depth for "realityOS", too.

The 3D skeuomorphism is jarring, IMO. The rest of the OS, including the Dock, is flat. I would have preferred if the Stage Manager windows were small 2D flat tabs on the side of the screen, rather than tilted windows.

Tried it for two seconds, immediately disabled it. I don't see the point, from my point of view os the stupidest thing Apple has done to macOS in years.

Do you think it could work in theory if they went full 3D? Maybe having everything on one plane is easier for our brains...

I can't get Ventura on my Mac and haven't tried it on my iPad, all the early reports were really negative..

For all their resources, Apple isn't leading the way with desktop innovation..

When I enable Stage Manager, I do not see the side bar for it on Desktop 1 but see it on Desktop 2. It has been happening on both 13 and 13.0.1. Any ideas?
