Anyone else experiencing issues with the anti-reflective coating coming off on the 2018/2019 Air? I've had my 2018 since November last year and noticed late last week that the coating is rubbing off in the shape of the edge of the trackpad (especially the small area between the bottom of the keyboard and the top of the trackpad) and around the edges of the keys. I had this issue on both my 2013 rMBP (screen was replaced under the repair program) and 2017 MacBook but in both those cases it was far more splotchy.
Even though I'm out of warranty I called Apple Care and they agreed to cover both mine and my wife's identical Air (not quite as bad on hers at least) but now I've just got to find a time I can be without the machine for a few days when I use it daily for work. I'm just really frustrated that this issue has been going on for years now and Apple still hasn't figured out how to prevent it.

You had me inspecting my 2019 MacBook Air. I just bought it weeks ago. How long did it take to notice the coating rubbing off? Looks like about a year from you message above.

I first noticed it last week but given the extent of it so far I'd imagine it's been happening for at least a few weeks, at least starting before my one year warranty ran out. I normally clean my screen pretty thoroughly once a week or so but the light happened to catch it just right this time around.

I have the same problem, MBA 2019 still under warranty. The keyboard seems to be imprinted on the screen, nothing cleans it up; i can´t feel the scratches o stains when i slip my fingers across the screen. This is a laptop that sits on a desk all day. i called Apple support and i'm also waiting for some free time away from the laptop in case they decide my screen needs to be replaced.
