Hi guys, I've got a niggling problem, I've been wondering if anybody else has the same issue?

My MacBook pro is about 2 weeks old. As soon as I unboxed it, I noticed some stains on the speaker grills. The stains are only visible in bright daylight.

The stains seem to disappear for a while when cleaned with a damp cloth, but quickly come back.

The stains weren't any particular shape at first, but after repeated cleaning, they same to have morphed into perfect circles...

Sorry if the pictures aren't that clear, it's quite difficult to capture.

they actually don't bother me that much - I don't think i'd risk a replacement.

My hard drive doesn't click/beep/freeze, i have not scratches or dents - and i've got a perfect screen (no dead pixels)

i just wondered of it was a common problem...

i believe 99% of all the umbp 15" speakers are like that.. if someone claims its not, its either they're blind or not looking at it under the correct lighting. under normal lighting conditions, i don't notice it at all, looks spotless. but in a certain high bright flourocent lighting, the 'stains' show.

now this is just my hypothetical guess but im thinking its the way the laser cuts the holes so that it cuts it in a weird direction.. i dont know what im really saying but thats what i can think of

I have those at random places on my speaker grills as well. Doesn't bother me much though.

I have those as well...in the exact same spot. I'm sure its just the speakers, a design flaw i guess.

MBP speaker "stains"

I have those too, I agree probably most of the machines have this "issue"

It's not a stain, it's the speakers, look at the motherboard diagram above...

The only reason you can see them when you use the flash on a camera is because a flash will reflect enough off of the speakers, seriously, this is complaining over nothing...
