Stamping images with file names

I have a bunch of images that I would like to stamp with their file names (or, even better, some programmatic variation thereof). Something along the lines of what you might see on a webcam. Is there any batch stamper program or Automator action that can do this?

Unless I'm missing something, that's not at all what I'm looking for. The file names are just fine, I want to place the file names onto the image itself, ala the images at http://www.dunelm.org.uk/page.aspx?pid=348
