Hi Guys,

Wanted to know from you guys here, to place the HomePod what would be sort of an ideal stand ? Initially I was thinking about just placing it on a plank of wood as wood works well with speakers and bouncers sound waves to create as excellent bass and overall improves the sound quality, But then I also came across this thing, this stand

it has good reviews but I am concerned if it would deteriorate the sound quality coming out of the HomePod as it would be the science of physics that will be in play ! Wooden plank would be a better IMO as speakers sound good when kept on a wooden surface isn’t It?

But point here to take into consideration is HomePod has upwards firing Woofer so I don’t know how would a wooden plank make a difference ? Had it been downwards firing woofer it would have been a different thing. This is again my opinion I could be wrong !!

What do you guys suggest and think on this ?

Please do let me know ?

Thanks !!

I don’t think it will sound good. It needs to be away from the wall. It needs a solid platform for the base. Now I do have a wall mount for my HomePod mini, but that’s because I’m willing to sacrifice sound quality for the space saved. There’s nowhere else it an go in my bathroom.

But there’s no way I’d make that sacrifice for the OG HomePods.

So Guys,

This is the kind of Wooden Plank that I am thinking about to place the HomePod on, it is made up of wood. Of course for the HomePod I will have a much smaller size than this but this is what I have in mind, a Wooden Plank kept on a bracket fixed in the wall and on this desk the HomePod. What do you guys think about this arrangement ? I use the same kind of Wooden Plank to keep my JBL Speaker that I have.

Too close to the wall for HomePod. And the base probably isn’t solid enough. It really needs a solid base.

Dude if you talk about Solid then it cannot get any solid than this !! it is a 2 inch thick Sheet of solid wood.

I think it’s hideous. I also hate seeing wires trailing down.

Cable management is a different thing that has to be addressed separately. isn’t it ? Right now we are just talking about a surface to place the HomePod !
