I am brand new to Mac and purchased new iMac with SSD and 1TB internal hard drive. I believe I have moved the home folder to the 1TB hard drive. I previously had set up a standard account for normal operations after setting up Administrative account. Before moving the Administrative account home folder, I gave Standard Account Administrative status. I got into trouble when I deleted the home folder from the SSD, listed as Macintosh HD, after moving to HD 2. In Advanced Options under Accounts, I attempted to point both to the User account, in my case UserWill. The second account does so but first Administrative did not and I seemed to be digging a larger hole.

I finally deleted this account and have been trying to set up a Standard I could use for normal sign in activities. I have tried choosing HD 2 for Home Directory and also the UserWill in HD 2 for access to the documents, but does not work. Every time I try setting one up, I do not have permission to view Documents for the Standard account. The subdirectories of Users shown in HD of Desktop, Documents, Downloads,Library, Movies, Music, and Pictures show a red minus.

I would appreciate advice on managing this.

Thanks in advance,
Will
