I recently purchased a Canon HF10 ACVHD camera which records at 1080i60.
I don't have any HD TV's yet, so I need to make standard definition DVD's.
When I import and edit in iMovie09 everything is fine until I try and make a SD DVD. First I used the Share to iDVD which worked well until I watched the video it outputted.
This is a video of an ice skating rink that has a wide red line on the wall. The resulting video shows a wavy line that moves during playback.
See snapshot.

It's very annoying to see.
So I tried exporting via Quicktime and chose 768x567 SD. The video seems better, no wavy line. I can made a DVD by using toast, but loose the chapter info and nice menus of iDVD.

Any ideas on how to make a movie thats compatible with iDVD?
I'm thinking of shooting some test footage at 1080p30 to see if that changes anything.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks
