Hello friends. I need advice:

TL;DR: 6gen iPod Touch. Had battery replaced in January by Fast Phone Repair. Battery went from 2-3 hours of use to 8 hours of use, on the dot. 8 Hours. Exactly. Every charge. 6 months later, iPod still lasts ~8 hours per charge, whether I'm using it or not.

iPod is only used for Audible and Overcast.

100% charge, 6.5 hours of standby + 2 hours of music/audible puts me under 20% battery.

If I charge my iPod overnight, I can listen to podcasts pretty much all day at work. ~6-8 hours. This is also how long the iPod will work if it's on standby.

I just bought a morphie battery case for it, but I'm not completely thrilled with the results. If I flip the switch it'll recharge the iPod, but it still feels like every time I pick up my iPod the battery is dead. (And now also the morphie case always needs charging too.)

What would you do in my situation?

Probably there is some background apps the prevents your touch from 100% standby. I can keep mine for 2 weeks without using it and it would still have 1/4 of its battery with the WiFi off
