Hi

I'm new member and need help.

I bought a 2nd hand macbook pro 15 early 2011. Some keys on keyboard didn't work so I decided to replace it with a brand new keyboard from Aliexpress :
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...yboard-2009-2012-w-backlight/32258006521.html

After following some tutorials I succeeded in replace it (logic board + keyboard).

Everything is ok and works (all keys) EXCEPT now when i close the lid macbook doesn't go to standby anymore.

It seems issue is on a lid sensor ... but I'm not able to find where is this sensor in the topcase.

I will appreciate a photo in high definition with position of this lid sensor.

Thanks for any help.

Best regards,

Just a hunch: Is the multi-LED battery indicator working? If not, you may have a loose or damaged cable or broken component that's also going to keep the Hall effect (i.e., lid closed) sensor from functioning. Here's some information for a 13" MBP of the same vintage: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6791436 (read it all, but see especially the pics on the second page). On a a 15", the cable connects further to the right of the battery connector than in the 13". (Image below cropped from from the ifixit repair manual for the early 2011 15" MBP, then annotated: https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi/wcw4nPCRs5C636VY.huge.) My advice: If the battery indicator isn't working, start by locating its cable, then work back from the cable to the logic board. The sensor is somewhere along the line.
