Hi
I have an iPhone 15pro and recently got myself a MagSafe stand to charge and use my phone as a bedside clock. Im trying to understand what the Automatic setting does under standby mode > display settings. Because Im finding it has a mind of its own.
I place my phone on the charger and it stays on for a very long time, in a dark room, I take phone off charger, place back on charger and suddenly the screen goes off after 20 seconds or so, and motion activates it, which is what I want.
Im just finding sometimes the display seems to stay on for ages despite the correct room conditions.
Does automatic mode have some kind of learning algorithm, where by it learns when Im actually sleeping and the display sleeps and wakes with motion?
It stays on when I have the TV on, but the room is dark, but display stays on for a good hour or more.
