We've seen some pics in the beginning of this week showing a line that was forming for the brand new iPhone. Most of them, as being said, are standing there as they were paid. My question is why?
Is this possible that Apple is hiring some people to make a crowd and get more atteention?
I find it pretty interesting so appreciate a decent discussion.

Apple does not have to pay people to stand in line for it's products.

It amazes me with some of the ideas people come up with. Make me realize that we are not all "wired" the same.

Many of them are tech reporters or someone is paying them to buy the iPhone for them. Apple isn't paying them.

They're not paid by Apple; they're paid by websites, promoters, or scalpers wanting to buy phones & then ship to places that don't have them yet for enormous profits.

There is zero reason for Apple to pull a stunt like that. Given Apple's high profile the laziest of reporters would crack that open in two seconds and in one fell swoop earn a Pulitzer or DuPont and crush Apple's credibility for-ev-ah.

No, the people outside are being paid by:

Top end mega $ earning professionals and executives who want a guaranteed iPhone on launch day

Exporters (nice way of saying scalpers)

Small/Med businesses who want phones for promotional use

Do not think for a moment that the fervor for the iPhone 5 is manufactured.

Apple needing to pay?

Heck, just read the posts here to realize how insane people are over this stuff.
