Hi all,

So i've made up my mind to get a cinema display to go with my 09' alu-MacBook instead of the iMac because then i can just upgrade my laptop as and when rather than two mac plus i still have portability.

On this note, i am trying to find a decent stand for my MB to keep the desk sleek, i'm looking at this one th etwelve south bookarc stand or this one the griffin stand. I'm loving the bookarc but any better options would be welcome.

As the title suggests i'd love the bookarc but my worry is will anything go wrong with the MB as it will still be operating as a laptop with the cinema display as the screen only? as in, will it affect disc performance as i use the ODD occasionaly and anything else whilst we're at it?

I think this looks AWESOME :D

I've been using a MacBook docked in a BookArc for over a year, hardly ever shutting it down, and it's been running flawlessly. You may also be interested in a HengeDock. Watch the video on their site - v cool! :)
