With Sam's Club having started taking pre-orders for the iPad Pro on Friday and selling out within hours and MacMall also moving to accept pre-orders ahead of an expected launch next week, Staples is the latest major U.S. retailer to allow customers to begin placing orders for the new device.

Staples is offering all Wi-Fi models of the iPad Pro for pre-order, as well as a number of accessories including the Apple Pencil, Smart Keyboard, and both Smart Covers and Silicone Cases in charcoal gray and white. One catch for those looking to order through Staples is that the office supply retailer is quoting a launch of November 25, the day before Thanksgiving. With Apple and other retailers apparently anticipating a launch towards the end of next week, Staples customers wouldn't be among the first to get their hands on the new device.

Staples is also not offering any discounts on the iPad Pro at this time, selling the 32 GB models for $799 and 128 GB models for $949. The Apple Pencil is priced at $99 and the Smart Keyboard is available for $169, while the Smart Covers are priced at $59 and the Silicone Cases at $79.

Staples doesn't even have the new Apple TV in stores yet (April 15th). This could mean that the iPad Pro is coming out in the next 7 days.

I hope the Smart Covers / Cases / Silicone Cases are not just in Charcoal Grey and White. I get the iPad Pro is targeted towards corporates but for the sake of everything nice: I don't want to be bored to death by boring-ass colors!

My only note here is that I don't see Staples carrying - yet - the cellular version of the iPad Pro, the version I want.

I'll be waiting for buyer's remorse items to show up in the Refurb Store! Unless I get weak... :D

Well seems like a niche product. I see lots of artists as the main target for this market. I would like one just to have and mess around with. Would enjoy having this on the plane rides.

This made the decision for a gold model with a third party case (hoping Twelve South) very easy. Apples offerings will result in a lot of boring grey and white!

Guys, the iPad Pro sucks, don't buy it. Especially not the space grey 128gb cellular one. And if you really want that one, please don't buy it from the Apple Store in Crossgates Mall in Albany NY.

Thank You!
Exactly! It's a HUGE waste of money. Definitely don't buy a 128GB WiFi in space grey from the Reston Town Center Apple Store either. In fact, I heard RTC is having a clown, mime, and fingernails-on-chalkboards-enthusiasts convention that day, so you might want to just avoid the place altogether ;)

Matter a fact, avoid getting the iPad Pro anywhere on day one, it might have bend gate. ;)

Quick question: what do people think the 128GB iPad Pro Wifi version will cost in the UK?

(A) £799
(B) £899
(C) £949
(D) something else?

I hope Apple is pushing/requiring these vendors who now sell Apple products to start offering ApplePay in their stores. I would think this would help establish ApplePay in more stores.

I really don't get why Apple is not announcing a date yet. Wonder if they face some production problems and struggle to create a decent number of units to start the sale or already commit to a certain date.

I already reserved all of them because I knew that you were going to be in line and waiting to purchase one or maybe all of them :D

Perhaps they're doing it deliberately to see how much of an arse each of the store groups can be about it? Certainly interesting to see how it's being handled by the different retailers. Me, I'll wait for the Apple Store as usual and click on "Buy".

The 128 GB iPad Air Cellular costs $829 in the U.S. and £659 in the UK. The 128 GB iPad Pro Wifi costs $899 in the U.S. (or 14.5% more than the 128 GB iPad Air Cellular). Using the same ratio the 128 GB iPad Pro Wifi would cost £755. There might be some currency rate adjustments of prices in newly released products but I would very surprised if it were to cost more than £799.
