What in god's name can anyone do with 16GB these days?

I waste a lot of money, but one $100 I regret was getting a 32GB iPad. iPhone I understand with the camera and music you need more storage, but iPad? why? iPad is anyway useless without internet. I have my entire iTunes music there but I never listened to one song on it (I can't take it when I workout), also I put a couple of movies and games, and still lots of free space.

My next iPad will be a 16GB iPad

One word. Apps

My previous ipad was 16 gigs because I had your exact thought process. I don't put any music movies or anything like that so I figured why not go for cheap. What I didn't expect was how big retina ipad apps were. Biggest mistake ever. Something like GarageBand takes up almost a gig. Any of those free 3D games by Gameloft/other big companies take 1-2 gigs each. Also don't forget that you start out with only 12.8 gigs and not the full 16. After downloading a handful of apps it's already full.. And I certainly want to use my ipad how it was intended.. by being able to use the huge App Store and not having to worry about space

I see your point. I played so much with the apps at first and downloaded and bought games and stuff, but then I really end up using my iPad 90% to browse the internet, read flipboard magazines (and of course the incredible ebay app!), and do some light work and expense tracking.

I have around 20 apps on my iPad, most of which are internet-based 20-40 MB each, and maybe 8 games or so not exceeding 5 GB

Will Best Buy price match with Staples? Hawaii doesn't have a staples, but I'm hoping I could show them the online price.

Amazing!

The $450 iPad air is now sold out online, keep checking, they might bring in more stock

It's amazing how popular apple products are, and with a 10% discount... Forget it! People go nuts!

This deal is now live if you are looking for a 16gb Air :D

We'll they are offering others as we'll not just the 16gb. I picked up the 32 myself. Had to order online though as our staples closed down last year.

wish I had seen this earlier! I'm trying to get a deal on the 32gb version. Any chance it will come back in stock?

If you have an Amex card, you can also get an extra $25.00 back on a $75.00 Staples purchase if you register for the offer on their web site. Takes the 16GB Air down to $425 without having to deal with gift cards.
