After adding a custom Communicator Beep sound to my unlock function I immediately thought of taking my old Playmates Star Trek communicator and gutting it to use the shell as an outer flip case mod for my iphone. I know, walking around in public would make you look like a stereotypical Trekkie geek but I just couldn't resist the idea of having a real communicator. There's just one thing I wish the iphone could do and that is enable the external speaker ports to play incoming calls like a speaker phone so I could hold it in the palm of my hand and engage in two-way conversation without holding it up to my ear or using earbuds to hear the person on the other end. Perhaps a speaker phone mode will be integrated in the next gen model. Anyway, as a kid I always dreamed of having a real communicator and the iphone is certainly the closest thing to having one.

Oh it's not under settings you can only select Speaker while you are taking a call. Gotcha. I'll have to give that a try next time. Hehe, now I'm giddy with joy!

Thanks for posting the sound Dave, how do I make it replace the existing unlock sound?
