Does anyone other than me want to see more Star Wars Movies? I know I am a geek, but I love these movies. If they did, what should they be about.

No, I think Lucas has raped that dynasty quite enough. Heck you could take away all my Stars Wars movies except Empire Strikes back and I wouldn't really feel that we're missing anything important.

I mean A New Hope was OK, but Empire is the pinnacle of the franchise.

Hmm that sounded really geeky... let's go for the deuce, Han Shot First!

I'd like to see the last two remade with better actors.

Extend it to the last three and keep the actors, give me a better writer and director and we might have some films. Every actor in the movies has done a better job acting in other films. I think the major problem is that Lucas cannot write believable dialogue and has too much of an ego to be allowed to direct his own crappy dialogue. Another director might actually eschew some of the digital effects so actors have more to interact with than a blue-screen and have the guts to change some of the dialogue into a more believable conversation. Lucas should be allowed to outline the story arc and then hand it off to someone who can write.

Could you imagine if Peter Jackson directed a Star Wars movie written by Kevin Smith or Joss Whedon?

Only if lucas plays absolutely zero part in their production and there are under no conditions allowed to be any gungans.

I'll bite... Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing more movies (which I doubt will every happen though).

A trilogy focusing on rebuilding the galaxy after the Empire could be neat. Rebuilding government and the Jedi Order.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Skywalkers being the focal point again though. Maybe Luke should play a Yoda role this time around? I don't know... Seeing anyone else other than Mark Hamill play Luke Skywalker doesn't seem right, but he's getting kinda old to play the traditional Luke role.

Of course, you could always go back and make a trilogy set during the Knights of the Old Republic era... That would be kinda cool.

too bad most didn't know how much Lucas ripped off Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress movie.

I noticed the character references too when I first watched the Kurosawa film.

I do love the first (or is that last  ) films. Loved watching the model space ships, the on location shots, the comedy between the two robots who stole the show imo. Oh, and I loved that there was more memorable dialogue than the latest films.

I think someone could possibly do a miniseries or something based on the comics/and or the time between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.

I would like to see some movies form the same era as the game "Knights of the Old Republic" about 4000 years before the present films.

Yea, I hate the gungans too.

lucas has said that there will be star wars TV show, but not focusing on the well known characters, but more on other jedis experiences in the film time line. He also said lucasfilm will concentrate more on TV than cinema as TV is more 'where its at' for drama at the mo.

Anyone who thinks their should be more Star Wars movies hasn't seen the Holiday Special...the franchise jumped the shark back in 1978.

I just want to add a scene where Leia gets nekkid with Luke, they make out, and then have hot passionate sex. At the end of the movie, I want to see the awkwardness between them after they find out that they're brother and sister.

I want the same awkwardness to happen in LOTR between Sam and Frodo, except I want Sam to come out of the closet, and Frodo to reject his "advances." Then......awkwardness in the Shire.

Fin.

Queue the credits.

This I like!:)

I never was a fan of Luke.

and when they don't let chewbacca win, they find out the TRUE reason you are supposed to "let the wookie win..."

More awkwardness. Awkwardnesss and difficulty walking.

It was the most horrible thing I have ever watched. The musical numbers were particularly ghastly. I was less disturbed the time I took a field trip to a coroner's office.

STAY AWAY!

The ones that Lucas directed (I, II, III, and IV) were the worst ones.

Nope. IV is the best one. (It's certainly far better than VI, though I can understand those who prefer V.) This was brought home to me when they were re-released theatrically (well, as long as ignore the "who shot first" thing). It was cool seeing the reactions of the younger generation who hadn't seen the movies before. I remember some teenage girl talking excitedly with her friends when it was over, saying "That was the best movie I've seen in a long time!" So much for the notion that kids need hyperactive moviemaking to keep their interest, eh?

And stop talking about the holiday special. Are you trying to bring back traumatic memories or what? I was successfully repressing those you know....
