I found an old CD of Starcraft lying around. On the CD it says Power Macintosh... when I put it in my MacBook it pops up on the desktop.

The first picture shows what happens when I click on the icon

The second picture shows what happens when I click on any of the files inside.

Starcraft won't work on my Mac will it?

Ok, thats too bad. But oh well, I'm more of a console gamer anyway, I was curious though.

Thanks.

Actually, you can use the Starcraft OS X installer (available with info here) to install Starcraft and the OS X patch under Rosetta. Works perfectly.

I used the link and method that nufanec provided and what I downloaded was some code. The Starcraft installer doesn't actually install anything it just shows me some coded text. What now?

posting this from my phone. but go to the battle.net site and create an account. link your cd key and it will giv you the option to download the mac installer. worked for me perfectly

Go to blizzard.com and enter their store. Create a account and log in, soon you will see a section for previously owned games. Enter your Cd-Key and it will allow you to download a Mac version of starcraft.

Hope this helps.

Or go to battle.net and register an account. Then register your blizzard cdkeys there and you will be able to download new versions of the game.

I'm having a hard time finding the CD key, I may have lost it... is there any other way? (Sorry, I know I'm making it difficult, but I'd like to have a game on my Mac, and Starcraft is awesome.
