Start up problem, need help ASAP

I forgot that i had i set to boot from CD. I just added some new ram to the computer so i shut it down. when i start the comp it asks insert boot disk and press any key. Normally you hit the option key. Here is my issue, my original mac keyboard is broken. I use a logiec wireless the only one i have. It does no seem to be working. there is a CD in the drive, which i cant seem to get out to put in a bootable one. my mouse is also not a apple mouse, but i do have the original mac mouse but its wireless. Anyone have any suggestions on what i need to do? i need to get this comp working ASAP. I have a buisness proposal i need to prepare.

Imac 24" 2.8ghz duel core.

OPTION is the ALT key.

Have you tried any of these steps?

Mac doesn't boot

thanks for the linnks, and yes i did try them. My real issue I believe is it doesnt reconize the keyboard.

Got it. ran into my neighbour and told him the issue, borrowed his keyboat and it worked. I never knew he was a mac guy.
