Since yesterday, after 10 days of use I started getting a sticky digital crown. It's not stuck, but for the initial push, it requires extra force to get the wheel going. And it's random, not every push.

I wish this never happens to you, because it's truly a terrifying experience. Your brain loses confidence immediately and so every time I am skeptical that a push registered and I never know if this push is a good push or bad ("extra force) one. :(

I have already tried these steps from Apple. It helped for an hour or so and then came back.

And no, I don't abuse it. In fact, I treat mine like a baby with care, not sure how this happened.

Really?

Really really? You need the digital crown to operate almost every screen of the OS. The fact that it's faulty is not a big deal?

What exactly did Apple make you do? From what I've read on different websites simply running it under the faucet for a few minutes cleans up the gunk that's making it stick.

Its faulty? Try cleaning it first. If it is faulty, take it in to an Apple Store and they will help you get through this terrifying experience. Best of luck!

I imagine it's a bit disappointing that it's faulty and you will have to wait for a replacement. However "terrifying" is a bit extreme... not like you've crashed your car and are in intensive care fighting for your life or anything

Mine has gotten a bit sticky as well.

It's not terrifying, but it is occasionally annoying.
