starting an iPhoto slideshow on a second screen (only)?

Hello all,

I'm on Mavericks and I am running multiple displays. I'd like to run an iPhoto library slideshow on my second monitor. However, whenever I start a slideshow it blacks out all my screens. I thought Mavericks would allow this kind of activity? Any ideas? Is there a different app I can use to do this?
