Starting Ipad without mobileme

Hallo,

is there a way to start an ipad withou having mobile me?

I started it up, plugged to itunes and I forze on a screen that it was looking for something on mobile me and I could not continue...

is there a way?

just to add, whenever I connect if, it gives me this - I attached it as i didnt know how to insert it right on the screen...

thanks for any help, this way my ipad works, but I can not sync it an I can not copy anything into it...
