Starting Mail Minimized??

I have set up mail to start when I start leopard, is it possible to make it start minimized? (I looked at the preferences but could not start this option)

Applescript is probably the best bet for things like this.

Not specifically no. Although I doubt it is that hard to pick up, Applescript is a very English like language. I just have not had the time to explore it properly what with my other commitments.

You could take a look over at www.macosxhints.com and see if anyone has written a hint about it. That site is very useful for questions such as these.

Could you not just hide Mail when it starts up? A bit easier to do and it just sits there in your dock, running but not open.

I tried this, doesn't work, mail still opens normally.
