Since iPhones are turning Up in stock looks like 7 was the GM!
 
Where are they already in-stock? I haven't heard anything about stores already having them.

Apple is also known for releasing iPhones every june..
 
No. It's not GM, just the last beta as Apple hasn't released the GM. So it's what is closest to the GM.
 
I would give my opinion on why this isn't the GM but it seems ppl have already said it.

You can tell by threads like these that the person hasn't been on the apple bandwagon that long. GM will def be released at the event like always.

Well ya, if they release the iPhone on Wednesday then even though it had the beta 7 name it was actually the GM.

Beta 7 must have been good enough and not many bugs reported back
 
beta 7 is simply the last BETA before GM. GM will be released on tuesday... if not shortly after

Dude the iPhone won't come out Wednesday. Let me break it down how it always happens.

1) The event is scheduled in which they announce and go over the upcoming iOS and phone.

2) The iOS has new features they didn't previously announce for the new iPhone

3) The GM is released with the new features included for developer testing.

4) A week later the GM is released to the public. In this case most likely the following monday

5) The new iPhone comes out 3-5 days after iOS releases which I'm guessing the friday after iOS drops.
 
iOS 3 Final Beta to Gm was 33 days

iOS 4 final beta to GM was 20 days

iOS 4.3 final beta to GM was 30 days

iOS 5 Final beta to GM will be 34 days

So not that uncommon for a month between beta and GM
