starting-up business best software?

Hi, I'm starting up a video production company. So i need a billing system and something as an nice file about my clients and agenda. For somebody who is kind of messy!

What can you recommend me?

QuickBooks works quite well for the former. You can find a free version here. QuickBooks does support Macs but I do not know about the free version (up to 20 customers). Should be good to get you started.

For the latter I guess this depends on what you are looking for. I keep everything in Entourage at the moment for Contact Information (for legacy reasons) although I'm switching to Mail/iCal/Address Book. I also keep a file structure on my machine that looks like:

/Customers/
/Customers/Customer A/
/Customers/Customer A/<date>/<meeting files / notes>

I search this using Spotlight for information.

Using the system keeps my otherwise unorganized tendencies from coming through. I've also been toying with MacJournal to keep notes in as well.
