Hi I was working in final cut and I guess my render files got too big, got a message saying my startup disc was full. The computer then crashed, I restarted it... but now we're stuck in a startup loop where I see the login window enter my pass and it crashes and restarts. Rinse repeat. PRAM reset and smc. Have tried starting in safe mode but doesn't work.... help?

So you are saying you can't even start in recovery mode? Option r on reboot?

You may have to make a USB bootable on another mac then start from USB drive and copy off some files to gain enough space to start from the HD.

Solution:

Connect an external drive and boot from that.

This is why I always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS advise Mac users to keep an EXTERNAL, FULLY-BOOTALBE (to the finder) drive nearby...

Another option - to boot from the live cd, but then you get cut functionality. Better still use a foreign hard drive
