Startup disk full error but 20gb free

Hi,

Recently my mac has been glitchy, especially when waking from sleep. i am now getting statup disk full error every now and then but i have over 20GB free on my hard drive. Any Ideas anyone?

P.S recently re downloaded all my matched music off iTunes matched but i deleted the originals and emptied recycle bin first so don't think this will have had any affect.

Hi there,

Don't know your specific issue but a start would be to boot into the Disk Utility (used to be you did this through the CD that came with your Mac, dunno how to if you've got some fancy Shmancy new OS delivery system) and run the "Repair" on your HDD.

Not sure that this will work, but a good start for something you can do right away that might save you a lot of angst.
