startup disk

I have leopard with bootcamp installed.......
when I go to system perf and click the windows partition -
windows opens up - when I want to go back to the mac drive and go to the startup disk from windows there are no drives available to pick from - from windows I restart and hold down the option key and the mac and windows drives appear and I chose the mac drive and then I'm back in mac.....but when I'm in mac and restart it always restarts in windows -
Is there a way to make the mac drive my preferred drive at restart?

yes, I highlight the mac drive and when I'm in mac it will restart in mac -
but, after going to windows, and coming back to mac -
the computer want to - when restarted - start in windows......
