Hello anyone know how to mod the startup logo? Specifically changing the back ground and the apple logo. Did a search and found nowt??

Tested Imagine BootX with Tiger on my iBook G4 and it worked just fine.

I use the attached image on a Mercury colored background.

Hmm... I have to ask first... is this change permanent? Meaning, if I reformat and reinstall OS X, will the startup screen go back to the default?

i remember seeing a post on how to change the "welcome to os x" loading screen thingey, that comes up b4 the finder, unfortunatly the vague name im using isnt exactly good enough for a search to turn up anything that even closly resembles what im looking for

Any help please?

With BootX, there's an option to restore the default apple logo on startup.
I've also attached my new image just for kicks.
