Basically, last week my internal HDD died, and I lost a lot of pictures, movies etc... But luckily for me I received 2 external USB2 HDD for christmas.
I have used the external 1TB HDD for my mac startup drive, and everything was fine until I wanted to partition it with bootcamp, which said something along the lines of "cannot partition external Hard Drive".
I tried the other external usb drive to install windows on but it would not install.
So my question is:
Is it possible for me to use an external USB2 drive for a startup for windows 7?
I figured i could use my iPod to install it to the external hd (as ive done before).
So can I use a usb external hard drive as a startup disk as I haven't got the money to buy an internal hd yet?
