startup screen custumisation?

dose anyone know how i could change the start up screen the grey one with the cog that spins.

because i'd like to make my own one with maby a pirateised finder face.

alos i'd like to make my own theme and i have no idea how to can anyone point me in a direction of a guide?

I'm not sure about the grey startup screen. You can customize the blue login screen so I suspect you might be able to do the grey one. Google is our friend. Google should know someone who knows the answer.

when resexcellence comes back up i am pretty sure they have instructions on how to do it. not so much with the theming, though (i don't think).

and they will be back. this seems to happen every once in a while where they go offline without warning for a few days. usually unexpected server issues (they are good about warning you when they know what's up).
