I have the MBP from two revisions ago with Leopard on it.

When I restart my computer and get to the desktop, my computer always is very sluggish until Spotlight finishes indexing. I assume the problem is spotlight. Does anyone else experience such sluggishness and is there a way to have the index procedure less intensive or do it once a day instead of everytime I turn on my computer?

I am getting the exact same problem. MBP 2.33ghz. Indexs each time I reboot. I have bootcamp and a winXP partition, was thinking that might be it !?

I have the same problem - Spotlight indexing on EVERY boot, and it's driving me insane.

I made a thread a few days ago, but got no hits.

Does anyone know how to fix this?!
