Hoping one of you more experienced users can help and apologies in advance for my limited hardware/software knowledge.
I've had my Macbook Pro for a few years. Still on same battery. It's been weak for a while (running out sooner than before), but I've tried to practice good battery health since I bought it.
It was fine when I last used it a few days ago. Today, it won't turn on. I hear the startup sound, and then nothing happens. Black screen.
When I press command-control-power button, after a few seconds I hear this awful beeping sound. I'm a freelance editor, and desperately need a file on my desktop. What do you recommend?
Do you think my batter is just shot, or is it something worse?
