When we turn the iPAD/iPhone completely off and restart them, it usually takes a while for the system to be ready to be fully used again (and also to be turned off). After we restart, there's the Apple white logo in the screen.

Has someone actually measured how much time does it take after we slide to turn off and when we push the button to restart these devices? And how that improved over the years?

*******
And I wonder if there's a way to completely turn the iPAD/iPhone off without pressing any button, I mean, with a shortcut, that once used would turn the whole thing off.

When I have to restart the iPAD I always need to hold the ON/OFF button, too, and when auto-lock is enabled, the Home button needs to be used, if I touch the screen with my finger that won't be enough to wake my iPAD. Is there a way to do the latter and to just use the physical ON/OFF button once (not holding) to restart these device?

Hmmm, well if you’re running an iOS 11 beta, I wouldn’t worry too much about startup time; it will certainly be longer than the public release version’s due to loading logging and diagnostics programs.

As for turning off the phone without assistive touch or the physical power button, go to Settings -> General -> Shut down, which is located at the bottom.

I haven't tried iOS 11 yet, and haven't measured the startup time. What I remember is that in older devices it took too long for the system to start. What I was wondering was if this was improved over the years.

And what about iPADs? That's exactly what I am looking for, but it needs to be a shortcut working as an app or option to issue that command right away.

For example, in Windows 10 you only need to do this:

Do we have something similar for iPADs and iPhones?
