I thought I could solve a problem by writing a script and including it in ShutdownItems folder then writing a companion script in the StartupItems folder.

a) \Library has a StartupItems folder but no ShutdownItems. Strange.

b) The Finder won't let you create a folder inside \Library. Strange.

So ... Is there a place to put a script you'd want to run at Shut down? ... StartupItems cannot be modified? (I'm the only user of this machine, so I should be the administrator.)
